Alan Cohn also leads as president and CEO of former Avesis subsidiary AbsoluteCARE, where he oversees three patient-centered ambulatory intensive care units in the eastern United States.

Since beginning operations in 2000, AbsoluteCARE has provided quality medical treatment to thousands of people with chronic illnesses. In February 2018, this high standard of treatment resulted in AbsoluteCARE earning recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

A nonprofit committed to raising the level of health care, NCQA endeavors through its Patient-Centered Medical Home standards to acknowledge facilities that emphasize access, communication, health information technology, and patient involvement. In achieving NCQA certification, AbsoluteCARE met each of the nonprofit’s requirements.

The February announcement specifically recognized AbsoluteCARE’s Atlanta and Baltimore facilities. In earning Level 3 distinction, these facilities have proven to maintain a standard of care deserving of NCQA’s highest possible certification.
